SEASON 2023

WEEK 3

Week HighOmar H.156.6
Week LowZaid84.7
THE WEEKLY REPORT: the numbers are in and several of them are embarrassing.

Mustafa annihilated Issa by 48.0, a score differential normally reserved for scrimmages against air. Yousef hung 120.8 on Zaid and never looked back, winning by 36.1 in the week's designated execution. Hamed beat Omar A. 143.7-109.1, and the less said about the loser's flex spot, the kinder. Omar H. outscored Adel 156.6-126.1, a sentence that fully captures the excitement level. Adil beat Ahmad 125.9-109.4 and nobody will remember it by Thursday. Tarick got past Karim, 126.4-114.9, in a game the tape will file under 'fine, whatever'.

Omar H.'s 156.6 led the league this week, and yes, we all have to hear about it. Week's worst: Zaid with 84.7. Twelve managers, and one of them scored THAT.

Big picture: Omar H. remains the points leader, and Ahmad is pacing the field in the race nobody wants to win.

The tape never lies, gentlemen. See you next week.

Karim
(Abu Jabal)
114.9@126.4
Tarick
(Balls Deep)
Pregame · The Booth

Settle in. The projections say this one's close. The projections have been drinking. Abu Jabal has been humming along at 2-0. Balls Deep is sitting at 0-2 and calling it a rebuilding year. In a redraft league. Think about that. May the best roster win, and may the worst manager notice.

Postgame · The Booth

It ends 126.4-114.9. No drama, no controversy, just Karim quietly updating his excuses spreadsheet. Winner winner: Tarick at 1-2. The trajectory is real. So is the schedule. We'll see. That's 2-1 for Karim, whose season is now best described as 'a rebuilding year for morale.'

Adel(RIP 💀)
(Be my Jaan Robinson)
126.1@156.6
Omar H.
(Omar’s B*tches)
Pregame · The Booth

Good evening from the booth, where hope comes to be audited. Omar H. (1-1) and Adel (0-2) come in dead even on paper, which is a polite way of saying neither has earned my respect. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

A tidy 156.6-126.1 win for Omar’s B*tches. The film session will be short. Adel's will not. Omar H. put up the league's best number this week, 156.6, and has already begun narrating his own highlight reel. Omar H. banks it and sits at 2-1. Somewhere a projection model feels validated. Briefly. 0-3. The booth isn't saying it's over for Adel. The booth is simply reading numbers aloud, menacingly.

Omar A.
(Ninjer)
109.1@143.7
Hamed(RIP 💀)
(fantasy sucks)
Pregame · The Booth

You wanted analysis. I brought a scalpel. On paper this is a coin flip: fantasy sucks at 1-1, Ninjer at 1-1. On tape, it's two teams praying the other starts the wrong flex. The tape rolls at kickoff. The excuses roll shortly after.

Postgame · The Booth

fantasy sucks over Ninjer, 143.7-109.1. The box score reads like a shrug, and the booth respects an honest shrug. Hamed is 2-1 now. The booth has updated his file from 'concerning' to 'under review.' Omar A. sits at 1-2 and has begun using the phrase 'points against' unprompted. A cry for help.

Zaid
(Campaign Papi)
84.7@120.8
Yousef
(McCafre)
Pregame · The Booth

Every week I say it can't get dumber. Every week this league accepts the challenge. Yousef at 1-1 against Zaid at 2-0. The analytics call it even. The analytics have not met these men. Buckle up. The projections have chosen violence.

Postgame · The Booth

Yousef takes it 120.8-84.7. Comfortable enough that nobody panicked, close enough that somebody should have. Campaign Papi posted 84.7, the league's worst mark of the week. Frame it. Study it. Never speak of it again. Yousef climbs to 2-1, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Zaid slides to 2-1. The schedule ahead offers no apologies and neither does the booth.

Ahmad
(Lucy's Finest)
109.4@125.9
Adil
(Dilmeisters)
Pregame · The Booth

This is the matchup the schedule-maker circled, presumably while laughing. Dilmeisters (1-1) versus Lucy's Finest (0-2). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Lineups lock soon. So do fates.

Postgame · The Booth

125.9-109.4, Dilmeisters over Lucy's Finest. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. 2-1 for Adil, who gets to spend a full week believing his own process. Dangerous stuff. Ahmad drops to 0-3, and somewhere his bench players are demanding a trade to the starting lineup.

Issa
(Shamjesus)
107.8@155.8
Mustafa
(Team Mohammad)
Pregame · The Booth

The stakes: pride, standings, and the right to be smug in a group chat. Mustafa sits at 1-1, Issa at 2-0, and the only real separation between them is whose kicker shows up. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Team Mohammad 155.8, Shamjesus 107.8. That wasn't a matchup, that was a public service announcement about roster construction. That's 2-1 for Mustafa. Say what you want about the man — the booth certainly will — but the wins are real. Issa falls to 2-1. The group chat has been notified. The group chat was already laughing.
