DRAFT REPORT CARD

The 2026 draft is in the books: 180 picks, one pending punishment, and a bingo card that did not survive contact with reality. Grades below come straight from ESPN's own post-draft projection machine — their report card, not ours — ranked 1 through 12. The verdicts, as always, are the booth's. The machine has no feelings. The booth has too many.

A+
Issa
ESPN post-draft projection: #1 of 12

The board: Puka Nacua · Derrick Henry · Nico Collins · Cam Skattebo · Colston Loveland

ESPN's machine says the best draft in the league belongs to the man who bet his tongue on Week 4. Puka-Henry-Nico is a genuinely frightening start, and the machine saw no reaches, no panic, no nonsense. If this projection holds, Aziz should start warming up the toupee.

A
Aziz
ESPN post-draft projection: #2 of 12

The board: Bijan Robinson · Brock Bowers · Kyren Williams · Jaylen Waddle · Jalen Hurts

The booth predicted WR Factory and the champ pivoted on the spot: Bijan at two, Bowers as the positional cheat code, then calm value the rest of the night. Wrong prediction, correct champion. This is what a defense of the throne looks like on paper.

A-
Tarick
ESPN post-draft projection: #3 of 12

The board: Ja'Marr Chase · Drake London · Breece Hall · David Montgomery · Drake Maye

Chalk, executed cleanly, exactly as forecast. Chase-London-Breece is the draft of a man who has stopped experimenting on himself. The machine calls it the third-best board of the night. The booth calls it the most predictable A- in league history.

B+
Mustafa
ESPN post-draft projection: #4 of 12

The board: Jahmyr Gibbs · Trey McBride · JOSH ALLEN (Rd 3) · DJ Moore · Bucky Irving

The heist of the night. The booth spent two weeks writing that Yousef would sell his soul for Josh Allen — and Mustafa simply walked to the podium at pick 25 and took the soul for himself. Gibbs plus McBride plus Allen is a real spine. The Waiver Sniper drafted like a sniper for once.

B+
Zaid
ESPN post-draft projection: #5 of 12

The board: Justin Jefferson · Ashton Jeanty · Travis Etienne · Tetairoa McMillan · George Kittle

The best draft-day projection of Zaid's career — fifth, a personal record — built on Justin Jefferson falling to pick 12 after Omar Ali blinked. One problem the machine cannot price in: Jefferson is now Zaid's first pick, and this league has documented what happens to Zaid's first picks. JJ has been placed under curse protocol. Medical staff notified.

B
Omar H.
ESPN post-draft projection: #6 of 12

The board: Jaxon Smith-Njigba · Jeremiyah Love · George Pickens · Davante Adams

The Milkman drafted like a man who has tasted consequences. JSN at one is real, the rookie Love swing is honest upside, and there is no round where the booth winced. A clean B from the machine and, more importantly, currently zero laps scheduled.

B-
Omar A.
ESPN post-draft projection: #7 of 12

The board: James Cook · Saquon Barkley · Rashee Rice · Garrett Wilson

Three drafts in a row the booth said he'd take Justin Jefferson. The one year the entire league wrote it in ink, he passed on JJ at nine — and watched Zaid take him three picks later. The Cook-Saquon double-tap is sturdy, but the most robbed manager in league history just robbed himself of the reunion, and the booth will never emotionally recover.

C+
Ahmad
ESPN post-draft projection: #8 of 12

The board: CeeDee Lamb · Chase Brown · Zay Flowers · LAMAR JACKSON (Rd 4) · Brandon Aubrey (Rd 8)

Prophecy fulfilled to the letter: Lamar in round four while wideouts flew off the board, exactly as the power rankings printed. Then, for the encore, the first kicker of the draft in ROUND EIGHT. The Onesie Truther cannot be negotiated with. ESPN filed it at C+; the booth filed it under 'evidence.'

C
Adil
ESPN post-draft projection: #9 of 12

The board: Christian McCaffrey · Omarion Hampton · MALIK NABERS · Tee Higgins · Jayden Daniels

Christian McCaffrey in round one for the THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR — at this point it's not a pick, it's a marriage. And then, the emotional centerpiece of the entire evening: Adil bought back Malik Nabers, the man he traded into Aziz's championship. The machine sees a C and a medical file. Adil sees deep-season points. History says do not bet against the walking-boot portfolio in December.

C-
Yousef
ESPN post-draft projection: #10 of 12

The board: Amon-Ra St. Brown · Kenneth Walker · DeVonta Smith · D'Andre Swift

The soul trade never came. Mustafa took Josh Allen at 25, and Yousef — a man the booth guaranteed would overpay for that exact quarterback — responded by drafting no quarterback at all in the first six rounds. Amon-Ra is lovely. Everything after is a man wandering the aisles without a list. The Fraud King's machine grade: C-. His schedule remains the easiest in the league, so expect 10 wins anyway, as tradition demands.

D+
Karim
ESPN post-draft projection: #11 of 12

The board: Jonathan Taylor · Chris Olave · Javonte Williams · Jadarian Price (Rd 5) · Kenny Gainwell (Rd 6)

The booth predicted an unknown player in the first four rounds, zero hesitation. Karim held out until round FIVE, then selected Jadarian Price — a name three managers had to google at the table — and chased it with Kenny Gainwell. Adil's Fav Camel opens the year projected eleventh, which for a +3.8 fraud index is honestly just Tuesday.

D
Okashah
ESPN post-draft projection: #12 of 12

The board: De'Von Achane · A.J. Brown · Emeka Egbuka · Quinshon Judkins · Joe Burrow

Dead last, says the machine. DEAD LAST — for the man who has made two consecutive championship games. Achane and A.J. Brown are stars and the middle rounds confused the algorithm into contempt. The booth's official position: ESPN's projection machine has never once watched Okashah play a December, and it shows. The Perpetual Runner-Up has been disrespected into a revenge season.

ACCOUNTABILITY HOUR

The Predictions Audit

The booth made its calls in public before the draft. The booth grades its own tape in public after it. This is called integrity, and it is exhausting.

  1. MISS
Yousef sells his soul for Josh Allen

Mustafa took Allen at pick 25. Yousef's soul remains technically intact, which may be the saddest outcome of all.

  2. HIT
Ahmad takes Lamar while WRs fly

Round 4, pick 39, to the letter. He also drafted the night's first kicker in Round 8, which the booth did not predict because the booth assumed some limits.

  3. HIT
Adil drafts the injury report for deep-season points

CMC in Round 1 for the third straight year, plus the emotional damage pick: Malik Nabers, bought back at last.

  4. MISS
Omar Ali takes Justin Jefferson. Again.

Passed on JJ at pick 9. The longest relationship in league history ended the one year everyone finally believed in it.

  5. PUSH
The curse claims Zaid's first pick

Pending. The first pick is Justin Jefferson. The league has 17 weeks to find out what the curse does to a top-three wideout.

  6. PUSH
Karim drafts an unknown player early, zero hesitation

Jadarian Price, Round 5. One round outside the prediction window, exactly as unknown as forecast.

  7. MISS
Issa reaches for a tight end early

Waited until Round 5 for Loveland and drafted his way to ESPN's #1 grade instead. The booth regrets nothing and respects everything.

  8. MISS
Aziz runs the WR Factory back

Bijan at two, Bowers at three. The champ read the booth's scouting report on himself and burned it.

  9. HIT
A kicker goes before Round 14

Round 8. Brandon Aubrey. Ahmad. Of course.
