SEASON 2023

WEEK 13

Week HighYousef164.3
Week LowKarim82.6
THE WEEKLY REPORT: where the film gets watched so you don't have to.

Zaid annihilated Mustafa by 55.3, a score differential normally reserved for scrimmages against air. Yousef put 164.3 on Adel in a 49.0-point mugging that should interest law enforcement. Omar H. hung 119.2 on Karim and never looked back, winning by 36.6 in the week's designated execution. Tarick dispatched Hamed 158.5-142.7 with the ruthless efficiency of a man deleting spam. Ahmad beat Issa 119.0-106.7 and nobody will remember it by Thursday. Omar A. edged Adil by 1.6 in a game decided by pocket change and prayer.

Yousef's 164.3 led the league this week, and yes, we all have to hear about it. Week's worst: Karim with 82.6. Twelve managers, and one of them scored THAT.

Waiver report: Adel whiffed on 2 claims. The early bird got the worm; Adel got the confirmation email of failure.

Big picture: Yousef remains the points leader, and Tarick is pacing the field in the race nobody wants to win.

This has been the report. Someone check on the losers.

Omar H.
(Omar’s B*tches)
Pregame · The Booth

Every week I say it can't get dumber. Every week this league accepts the challenge. Omar H. sits at 5-7, Karim at 6-6, and the only real separation between them is whose kicker shows up. The tape rolls at kickoff. The excuses roll shortly after.

Postgame · The Booth

119.2-82.6. The kind of result you forget by Thursday unless you're Karim, in which case it lingers. Karim's 82.6 was the lowest score in the league this week. The LOWEST. Out of twelve teams. I need everyone to sit with that. Omar H. is 6-7 now. The booth has updated his file from 'concerning' to 'under review.' Karim is now 6-7, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Tarick
(Balls Deep)
158.5@142.7
Hamed(RIP 💀)
(fantasy sucks)
Pregame · The Booth

Ladies and gentlemen, a football game. Allegedly. Hamed brings a 6-6 record. Tarick brings 2-10 and a dream. The booth has seen the dream's film. The dream should be benched. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

It ends 158.5-142.7. No drama, no controversy, just Hamed quietly updating his excuses spreadsheet. Upset alert delivered. Balls Deep (2-10) just clipped fantasy sucks (6-6), and I want you to know Hamed absolutely saw this coming and started the wrong guys anyway. The two of them hung 301.2 together. That's not a matchup, that's an arms deal. Tarick improves to 3-10 and has earned exactly one week of walking slightly taller. Use it wisely. Hamed falls to 6-7. The group chat has been notified. The group chat was already laughing.

Adel(RIP 💀)
(Be my Jaan Robinson)
115.3@164.3
Yousef
(McCafre)
Pregame · The Booth

I've broken down the matchups. One of them broke down right back. McCafre (9-3) is the clear favorite over Be my Jaan Robinson (6-6), and if you disagree, congratulations, you must be Adel. Adel has won 6 straight, and has started walking around like they invented zone-read analytics. May the best roster win, and may the worst manager notice.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: McCafre 164.3, Be my Jaan Robinson 115.3. That wasn't a matchup, that was a public service announcement about roster construction. League-best 164.3 for Yousef this week. The booth acknowledges excellence the way it acknowledges everything: reluctantly. Yousef moves to 10-3. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Adel drops to 6-7 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.

Omar A.
(Ninjer)
88.8@87.2
Adil
(Dilmeisters)
Pregame · The Booth

Welcome back to the only league where the tape never lies and neither do I. Bookmakers would call Dilmeisters (9-3) a heavy favorite over Ninjer (4-8). This league would call that an invitation for chaos. Omar A. has dropped 3 in a row, a stretch of football so bleak the league office considered a wellness check. See you at the final whistle, where one of these paragraphs becomes prophecy.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Ninjer survives Dilmeisters, 88.8-87.2. A 1.6-point margin. That's not a win, that's a coin flip with better marketing. A genuine shocker: Ninjer at 4-8 takes down Dilmeisters at 9-3. The league's natural order has filed a complaint. A rock fight: 176.0 total. Somewhere, both benches outscored both starting lineups, and nobody wants to talk about it. Omar A. climbs to 5-8, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Adil sits at 9-4 and has begun using the phrase 'points against' unprompted. A cry for help.

Zaid
(Campaign Papi)
140.9@85.6
Mustafa
(Team Mohammad)
Pregame · The Booth

I watched the film twice so you only have to suffer once. Campaign Papi has been humming along at 8-4. Team Mohammad is sitting at 6-6 and calling it a rebuilding year. In a redraft league. Think about that. Team Mohammad has lost 3 straight, which by my math is 3 more consecutive losses than a competently managed franchise should allow. The booth's official forecast: chaos, with a chance of somebody blaming their kicker.

Postgame · The Booth

Final score 140.9 to 85.6. Zaid won by 55.3, which in this league is less a victory and more a formal humiliation. Zaid banks it and sits at 9-4. Somewhere a projection model feels validated. Briefly. That's 6-7 for Mustafa, whose season is now best described as 'a rebuilding year for morale.'

Ahmad
(Lucy's Finest)
119.0@106.7
Issa
(Shamjesus)
Pregame · The Booth

The scoreboard is warming up and so is my disappointment. Shamjesus at 8-4 should handle this. Of course, 'should' is the most dangerous word in this league, usually spoken right before Ahmad ruins someone's weekend. One of you is about to be a cautionary tale. The booth thanks you in advance.

Postgame · The Booth

Lucy's Finest handles business, 119.0-106.7. Issa will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. And that, friends, is an upset. Ahmad came in at 3-9, looked across at Issa's 8-4 juggernaut, and simply did not care. Beautiful, chaotic, disrespectful football. Ahmad improves to 4-9. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Issa drops to 8-5, and somewhere his bench players are demanding a trade to the starting lineup.
