SEASON 2025

WEEK 6

Week HighAdil143.7
Week LowAziz85.9
THE WEEKLY REPORT: the numbers are in and several of them are embarrassing.

Adil put 143.7 on Yousef in a 36.7-point mugging that should interest law enforcement. Okashah outscored Issa 110.2-86.6, a sentence that fully captures the excitement level. Zaid beat Aziz 109.2-85.9, and the less said about the loser's flex spot, the kinder. Tarick beat Mustafa 133.0-117.2 and nobody will remember it by Thursday. Karim got past Omar A., 124.9-112.6, in a game the tape will file under 'fine, whatever'. Omar H. handled Ahmad, 116.0-108.5, in a game with all the drama of a scheduled oil change.

Adil's 143.7 led the league this week, and yes, we all have to hear about it. Aziz brought up the rear with 85.9, a number you can achieve by autodrafting and losing your phone.

Waiver report: Issa whiffed on 2 claims. The early bird got the worm; Issa got the confirmation email of failure.

Championship watch: Tarick keeps stacking points. Sacko watch: Issa. No further questions.

THIS WEEK IN LEAGUE HISTORY: 2023's Week 6 gave us Mustafa 148.9, Tarick 131.3 — remembered fondly by exactly one of them. Week 6 of 2024: Omar A. beat Ahmad by 74.4, a beating the tape still uses as training material.

Set your lineups. Or don't. It's clearly optional for some of you.

Adil
(Talkin Tua Teenager)
143.7@107.0
Yousef
(Drake and Josh)
Pregame · The Booth

Grab your popcorn. One of these rosters was built by a genius, the other by a group chat dare. Yousef (3-2) and Adil (4-1) come in dead even on paper, which is a polite way of saying neither has earned my respect. On to the action, where the points are made up and the projections don't matter.

Postgame · The Booth

Talkin Tua Teenager handles business, 143.7-107.0. Yousef will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. That 143.7 from Talkin Tua Teenager led the entire league this week. Even I have to tip the cap. Briefly. It's back on now. Adil climbs to 5-1, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Yousef drops to 3-3 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.

Zaid
(Milk Nabers)
109.2@85.9
Aziz
(Fourth and Bald)
Pregame · The Booth

Welcome back to the only league where the tape never lies and neither do I. Aziz rolls in at 3-2 while Zaid is dragging a 1-4 record behind them like a busted trailer hitch. The metrics say mismatch. The metrics are being polite. Milk Nabers has lost 4 straight, which by my math is 4 more consecutive losses than a competently managed franchise should allow. On to the action, where the points are made up and the projections don't matter.

Postgame · The Booth

109.2-85.9, Milk Nabers over Fourth and Bald. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. Upset alert delivered. Milk Nabers (1-4) just clipped Fourth and Bald (3-2), and I want you to know Aziz absolutely saw this coming and started the wrong guys anyway. Aziz's 85.9 was the lowest score in the league this week. The LOWEST. Out of twelve teams. I need everyone to sit with that. Zaid climbs to 2-4, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Aziz is now 3-3, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Omar A.
(MARLBURROW REDS)
112.6@124.9
Karim
(Band$ Emeka Dance)
Pregame · The Booth

I've broken down the matchups. One of them broke down right back. Band$ Emeka Dance (2-3) versus MARLBURROW REDS (3-2). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Band$ Emeka Dance 124.9, MARLBURROW REDS 112.6. Workmanlike win for Karim. Nothing pretty about it, but neither is this league. Karim climbs to 3-3, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. As for Omar: 3-3 now. At some point it stops being bad luck and starts being a body of work.

Okashah
(Mohammad's Dolphins Team)
110.2@86.6
Issa
(Shamjesus)
Pregame · The Booth

Two managers enter. One leaves pretending they 'didn't even check their lineup.' Shamjesus (1-4) versus Mohammad's Dolphins Team (1-4). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Mohammad's Dolphins Team has lost 4 straight, which by my math is 4 more consecutive losses than a competently managed franchise should allow. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

Mohammad's Dolphins Team handles business, 110.2-86.6. Issa will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. Okashah moves to 2-4. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Issa is now 1-5, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Ahmad
(Juicy Lucy)
108.5@116.0
Omar H.
(Follicle Failure)
Pregame · The Booth

Two managers enter. One leaves pretending they 'didn't even check their lineup.' The spread on this one is roughly Ahmad's ego, which is to say: enormous. 3-2 against 1-4 doesn't lie. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

Follicle Failure handles business, 116.0-108.5. Ahmad will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. And that, friends, is an upset. Omar came in at 1-4, looked across at Ahmad's 3-2 juggernaut, and simply did not care. Beautiful, chaotic, disrespectful football. Omar improves to 2-4. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Ahmad is now 3-3, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Mustafa
(Forbes 30 Under 5'5)
117.2@133.0
Tarick
(Shia Killer)
Pregame · The Booth

Two managers enter. One leaves pretending they 'didn't even check their lineup.' Shia Killer (4-1) versus Forbes 30 Under 5'5 (4-1). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Mustafa has won 4 straight, and has started walking around like they invented zone-read analytics. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

133.0-117.2, Shia Killer over Forbes 30 Under 5'5. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. Tarick climbs to 5-1, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Mustafa drops to 4-2 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.
