SEASON 2024

WEEK 13

Week HighMustafa158.6
Week LowKarim95.9
THE WEEKLY REPORT: we watched every lineup. Some of you should be in prison.

Mustafa annihilated Zaid by 44.7, a score differential normally reserved for scrimmages against air. Tarick hung 132.1 on Okashah and never looked back, winning by 35.5 in the week's designated execution. Omar H. beat Karim 130.8-95.9, and the less said about the loser's flex spot, the kinder. Adil took care of Omar A., 151.3-137.2, workmanlike and forgettable. Yousef got past Adel, 120.1-106.8, in a game the tape will file under 'fine, whatever'. Issa escaped Ahmad by 2.6 points, the fantasy equivalent of a field goal as time expires.

Mustafa's 158.6 led the league this week, and yes, we all have to hear about it. Karim brought up the rear with 95.9, a number you can achieve by autodrafting and losing your phone.

Big picture: Ahmad remains the points leader, and Karim is pacing the field in the race nobody wants to win.

THIS WEEK IN LEAGUE HISTORY: In 2023, Yousef dropped 164.3 on Adel in this same week — a public execution the league still references.

That's the report. Complaints can be filed directly into the group chat where they belong.

Karim
(Hock Tua)
95.9@130.8
Omar H.
(The Omar Effect)
Pregame · The Booth

The film doesn't lie, and unfortunately for one of these teams, I've watched it. On paper this is a coin flip: The Omar Effect at 5-7, Hock Tua at 5-7. On tape, it's two teams praying the other starts the wrong flex. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

It ends 130.8-95.9. No drama, no controversy, just Karim quietly updating his excuses spreadsheet. 95.9 — the worst score anyone managed this week. Karim is asked to report to the film room and to bring a helmet. Omar H. improves to 6-7. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Karim falls to 5-8. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.

Tarick
(Shia Killer)
132.1@96.6
Okashah
(Mohammad's Dolphins Team)
Pregame · The Booth

Welcome back to the only league where the tape never lies and neither do I. The spread on this one is roughly Okashah's ego, which is to say: enormous. 7-5 against 5-7 doesn't lie. Tarick has dropped 3 in a row, a stretch of football so bleak the league office considered a wellness check. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Shia Killer 132.1, Mohammad's Dolphins Team 96.6. Workmanlike win for Tarick. Nothing pretty about it, but neither is this league. The standings said this shouldn't happen. Tarick (5-7) over Okashah (7-5) happened anyway, because the standings don't set lineups. Tarick banks it and sits at 6-7. Somewhere a projection model feels validated. Briefly. Okashah is now 7-6, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Adel(RIP 💀)
(Be my Jaan Robinson)
106.8@120.1
Yousef
(Pirated CDs)
Pregame · The Booth

Ladies and gentlemen, a football game. Allegedly. Yousef rolls in at 9-3 while Adel is dragging a 6-6 record behind them like a busted trailer hitch. The metrics say mismatch. The metrics are being polite. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

Yousef takes it 120.1-106.8. Comfortable enough that nobody panicked, close enough that somebody should have. Yousef climbs to 10-3, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Adel slides to 6-7. The schedule ahead offers no apologies and neither does the booth.

Omar A.
(Ninjer)
137.2@151.3
Adil
(Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next)
Pregame · The Booth

I watched the film twice so you only have to suffer once. Dead heat on the standings page: Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next 6-6, Ninjer 7-5. Somebody's about to learn which .500 team was lying. Let the games begin. Let the group chat suffer.

Postgame · The Booth

151.3-137.2. The kind of result you forget by Thursday unless you're Omar A., in which case it lingers. Adil is 7-6 now. The booth has updated his file from 'concerning' to 'under review.' Omar A. sits at 7-6 and has begun using the phrase 'points against' unprompted. A cry for help.

Zaid
(Bidet)
113.9@158.6
Mustafa
(Team Mohammad)
Pregame · The Booth

Two managers enter. One leaves pretending they 'didn't even check their lineup.' Team Mohammad (5-7) versus Bidet (5-7). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Buckle up. The projections have chosen violence.

Postgame · The Booth

158.6-113.9. A 44.7-point margin. Somewhere a mercy rule is filing a grievance about not being invoked. Mustafa put up the league's best number this week, 158.6, and has already begun narrating his own highlight reel. Mustafa improves to 6-7 and has earned exactly one week of walking slightly taller. Use it wisely. 5-8. The booth isn't saying it's over for Zaid. The booth is simply reading numbers aloud, menacingly.

Ahmad
(Lucy's Finest)
134.4@137.0
Issa
(Shamjesus)
Pregame · The Booth

The booth has reviewed both rosters and would like to speak to a manager. Either one. Lucy's Finest at 8-4 should handle this. Of course, 'should' is the most dangerous word in this league, usually spoken right before Issa ruins someone's weekend. The booth's official forecast: chaos, with a chance of somebody blaming their kicker.

Postgame · The Booth

Issa wins by 2.6. In this league we call that a 'moral coin flip,' and Ahmad called tails. A genuine shocker: Shamjesus at 4-8 takes down Lucy's Finest at 8-4. The league's natural order has filed a complaint. 5-8. Issa played the odds and, for once, the odds played along. That's 8-5 for Ahmad, whose season is now best described as 'a rebuilding year for morale.'
