SEASON 2024

WEEK 11

Week HighOmar A.150.6
Week LowKarim100.4
THE WEEKLY REPORT: all the carnage, none of the excuses.

Omar H. took care of Mustafa, 129.5-109.1, workmanlike and forgettable. Yousef beat Karim 113.4-100.4 and nobody will remember it by Thursday. Omar A. survived Zaid by 6.5, and both benches deserve subpoenas over it. Issa edged Tarick by 4.6 in a game decided by pocket change and prayer. Ahmad escaped Adel by 3.0 points, the fantasy equivalent of a field goal as time expires. Okashah escaped Adil by 0.9 points, the fantasy equivalent of a field goal as time expires.

Omar A. dropped a league-best 150.6, which buys exactly one week of trash talk credit. Week's worst: Karim with 100.4. Twelve managers, and one of them scored THAT.

Big picture: Ahmad remains the points leader, and Issa is pacing the field in the race nobody wants to win.

THIS WEEK IN LEAGUE HISTORY: In 2023, Karim dropped 159.6 on Yousef in this same week — a public execution the league still references.

That's the report. Complaints can be filed directly into the group chat where they belong.

Karim
(Hock Tua)
100.4@113.4
Yousef
(Pirated CDs)
Pregame · The Booth

You wanted analysis. I brought a scalpel. Bookmakers would call Pirated CDs (7-3) a heavy favorite over Hock Tua (5-5). This league would call that an invitation for chaos. Karim's 3-game streak is real. So is gravity. One of them wins eventually. Whatever happens, remember: the booth predicted it, retroactively, with confidence.

Postgame · The Booth

113.4-100.4, Pirated CDs over Hock Tua. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. Karim's 100.4 was the lowest score in the league this week. The LOWEST. Out of twelve teams. I need everyone to sit with that. Yousef improves to 8-3 and has earned exactly one week of walking slightly taller. Use it wisely. Karim drops to 5-6 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.

Okashah
(Mohammad's Dolphins Team)
122.8@121.9
Adil
(Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next)
Pregame · The Booth

The scoreboard is warming up and so is my disappointment. Dead heat on the standings page: Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next 5-5, Mohammad's Dolphins Team 5-5. Somebody's about to learn which .500 team was lying. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

It came down to 0.9 points. Mohammad's Dolphins Team gets the win; Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next gets the recurring dream about it. Okashah climbs to 6-5, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. That's 5-6 for Adil, whose season is now best described as 'a rebuilding year for morale.'

Omar H.
(The Omar Effect)
129.5@109.1
Mustafa
(Team Mohammad)
Pregame · The Booth

Somewhere, a bye week goes unnoticed. But not by me. Never by me. Mustafa (5-5) and Omar H. (4-6) come in dead even on paper, which is a polite way of saying neither has earned my respect. Lineups lock soon. So do fates.

Postgame · The Booth

The Omar Effect over Team Mohammad, 129.5-109.1. The box score reads like a shrug, and the booth respects an honest shrug. 5-6 for Omar H., who gets to spend a full week believing his own process. Dangerous stuff. Mustafa slides to 5-6. The schedule ahead offers no apologies and neither does the booth.

Tarick
(Shia Killer)
136.5@141.1
Issa
(Shamjesus)
Pregame · The Booth

Strap in, folks. Somebody's week is about to be ruined, and I get paid to watch. The spread on this one is roughly Tarick's ego, which is to say: enormous. 5-5 against 3-7 doesn't lie. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

A 4.6-point finish, 141.1 to 136.5. The margin of a missed extra point, a wrong flex, or a cruel and personal universe. A genuine shocker: Shamjesus at 3-7 takes down Shia Killer at 5-5. The league's natural order has filed a complaint. Issa moves to 4-7. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Tarick sits at 5-6 and has begun using the phrase 'points against' unprompted. A cry for help.

Adel(RIP 💀)
(Be my Jaan Robinson)
104.6@107.6
Ahmad
(Lucy's Finest)
Pregame · The Booth

The stakes: pride, standings, and the right to be smug in a group chat. On one side, Ahmad at 7-3. On the other, Adel at 5-5, armed with optimism and little else. Sunday will sort this out the way it sorts everything: rudely.

Postgame · The Booth

By 3.0 points, Ahmad takes it, 107.6-104.6. Games this close are decided by benches, kickers, and the gods, and none of them like Adel. Ahmad is 8-3 now. The booth has updated his file from 'concerning' to 'under review.' Adel drops to 5-6, and somewhere his bench players are demanding a trade to the starting lineup.

Omar A.
(Ninjer)
150.6@144.1
Zaid
(Bidet)
Pregame · The Booth

Good evening from the booth, where hope comes to be audited. Zaid sits at 4-6, Omar A. at 5-5, and the only real separation between them is whose kicker shows up. One of you is about to be a cautionary tale. The booth thanks you in advance.

Postgame · The Booth

Ninjer handles business, 150.6-144.1. Zaid will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. 294.7 combined points. Somewhere a defensive coordinator is weeping, and neither of these managers cares. That 150.6 from Ninjer led the entire league this week. Even I have to tip the cap. Briefly. It's back on now. Omar A. improves to 6-5. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. 4-7 for Zaid. Every loss has a lesson; this one's lesson was 'stop doing that.'
