SEASON 2025

PLAYOFF WEEK 15

Week HighMustafa169.5
Week LowOmar A.96.9
THE WEEKLY REPORT: your weekly reminder that projections are astrology for men.

It's the postseason now, which means the mediocrity has consequences. Okashah took care of Karim, 144.4-126.0, workmanlike and forgettable. Aziz got past Yousef, 121.3-110.0, in a game the tape will file under 'fine, whatever'. Tarick escaped Omar A. by 1.3 points, the fantasy equivalent of a field goal as time expires.

Mustafa's 169.5 led the league this week, and yes, we all have to hear about it. And at the bottom, Omar A. posted 96.9. The bye weeks were visible from space and the lineup stayed put.

THIS WEEK IN LEAGUE HISTORY: This week in 2023: Adil handled Hamed, 143.0-116.4. History remembers the winners. Barely. Week 15 of 2024: Ahmad beat Tarick by 36.2, a beating the tape still uses as training material.

Set your lineups. Or don't. It's clearly optional for some of you.

PLAYOFF
Okashah
(Mohammad's Dolphins Team)
144.4@126.0
Karim
(Band$ Emeka Dance)
Pregame · The Booth

Welcome back to the only league where the tape never lies and neither do I. Elimination football. The regular season was a rumor; this is a sworn statement. Karim sits at 8-6, Okashah at 8-6, and the only real separation between them is whose kicker shows up. Buckle up. The projections have chosen violence.

Postgame · The Booth

Okashah takes it 144.4-126.0. Comfortable enough that nobody panicked, close enough that somebody should have. Survive and advance for Mohammad's Dolphins Team. For Band$ Emeka Dance, the season ends here, exactly where the tape said it would.

PLAYOFF
Aziz
(Fourth and Bald)
121.3@110.0
Yousef
(Drake and Josh)
Pregame · The Booth

Good evening from the booth, where hope comes to be audited. One survives, one goes home to a long winter of 'we'll get em next year.' The booth loves this time of year. On paper this is a coin flip: Drake and Josh at 8-6, Fourth and Bald at 7-7. On tape, it's two teams praying the other starts the wrong flex. On to the action, where the points are made up and the projections don't matter.

Postgame · The Booth

It ends 121.3-110.0. No drama, no controversy, just Yousef quietly updating his excuses spreadsheet. The playoff guillotine falls, and Yousef was standing under it. Aziz advances with clean hands and a dirty grin.

PLAYOFF
Tarick
(Shia Killer)
98.2@96.9
Omar A.
(MARLBURROW REDS)
Pregame · The Booth

Another week, another chance for these two to embarrass their draft boards. It's the playoffs, so someone's season ends tonight. I've already written both obituaries. One of them is very funny. Dead heat on the standings page: MARLBURROW REDS 8-6, Shia Killer 7-7. Somebody's about to learn which .500 team was lying. Tarick has dropped 4 in a row, a stretch of football so bleak the league office considered a wellness check. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

A 1.3-point finish, 98.2 to 96.9. The margin of a missed extra point, a wrong flex, or a cruel and personal universe. The week's basement belongs to MARLBURROW REDS at 96.9. The booth extends its condolences to the roster, who deserved better management. Tarick moves on; Omar A. moves to the couch. The bracket thanks both for their service.

CONSOLATION
Mustafa
(Forbes 30 Under 5'5)
169.5@168.9
Issa
(Shamjesus)
Pregame · The Booth

Settle in. The projections say this one's close. The projections have been drinking. Consolation bracket action, which is Latin for 'games played exclusively out of spite.' Shamjesus (7-7) versus Forbes 30 Under 5'5 (6-8). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Issa has won 5 straight, and has started walking around like they invented zone-read analytics. The booth's official forecast: chaos, with a chance of somebody blaming their kicker.

Postgame · The Booth

By 0.6 points, Mustafa takes it, 169.5-168.9. Games this close are decided by benches, kickers, and the gods, and none of them like Issa. 338.4 total points. The scoreboard needed a water break. That 169.5 from Forbes 30 Under 5'5 led the entire league this week. Even I have to tip the cap. Briefly. It's back on now. Forbes 30 Under 5'5 takes the consolation matchup. The prize is dignity, partially refunded.

CONSOLATION
Zaid
(Milk Nabers)
103.2@115.5
Ahmad
(Juicy Lucy)
Pregame · The Booth

Strap in, folks. Somebody's week is about to be ruined, and I get paid to watch. A consolation matchup: technically football, spiritually a support group. Two teams, 6-8 and 5-9, separated by nothing but vibes and pending regret. All-time series: Ahmad 2, Zaid 0. Rivalry implies both sides win sometimes, so let's just call it a tradition. See you at the final whistle, where one of these paragraphs becomes prophecy.

Postgame · The Booth

115.5-103.2. The kind of result you forget by Thursday unless you're Zaid, in which case it lingers. Ahmad wins. Nobody saw it, nothing changed, and the booth was legally required to mention it. Mentioned.
